Shower time
Uploaded: October 04, 2008
After 3 very hot days it has started to rain lightly, the galahs were making the most of it. About 2 dozen of them were hanging upside down on the power lines crossing the highway through town. This picture is the best I could do while trying not to get my camera wet. Lens aperture F/3.2, shutter speed 1/158sec, focal length 36mm.

Wow! Is this ever a neat capture! What nutty birds! They sure were happy for the rain! -Laura #1010099Chris Ebben October 04, 2008
Many thanks. This is a really fun thing to watch, they swing up & down with their wings spead out, sometimes hanging by one leg, talking all the time. #6550898Mary K. Robison October 04, 2008
We get pigeons and crows on the wires, nothing so entertaining as this group of Chatty Kathys.#6551176
