Thanks for commenting Debra, Nancy, Donald, CJ, Charlene, Jill, Stacey and Leanne! Jill, your work is an inspiration...I have newfound respect for pet portrait photographers. Stacey, my "puppy" is now about 12 years old, but as you can see, she thinks young. #1075217

Just thought I'd share a little about Sassy: Sassy came to Dorothy through an animal rescue organization about 2 years ago. She had been taken from an apt where she lived confined to a cage, and her life had been limited to its 3'x6' or so confines, probably for at least a couple of years. Her coat was matted, her elbows sore from constantly lying in one position, and besides a favorite toy, her life was little but endlessly pacing, pacing, pacing. So that look of pure joy on her face, romping in the snow, is, as I see it, also is her expression of gratitude for the joy of living returned to her late in life.

Thanks so much Dan, Pamela, Laurence and a special thanks to Nancy for supplying Sassy's bio. Yes, Sassy had to have a couple of hundred bucks of veterinary treatment before she came to me...ears infected, toenails trimmed, innoculations brought current, and lots of grooming. Fortunately, she is now very healthy, and really enjoys a chance to romp outdoors. If this were a summer shot, she would be plopped in a puddle! And advice to dog lovers everywhere: there are lots of wonderful but neglected dogs awaiting adoption through rescue organizations. #1080051

Thanks for sharing Sassy's story Nancy and Dorothy. I applaud you for rescuing Sassy. I love to hear stories like this. I too live with 4 rescues. They have enriched my life in every way! #1080088
