Sigma 17-35 f2.8 EX, shot at shutter speed 200, f10, exp +.7, focal length 35mm, ISO 1600. Used high pass in photo shop to add some gray contrast.

The use of high-pass is another way to sharpen your images. And you have only completed 1/2 the process, in my opinion. Instead of using such a high level/radius:___ pixels. Choose something lower like 0.8 - 2.5, you want to just see your image (best w/o a blue outline around your image), it should be mostly grey. Once that is done go to Edit drop down to to Fade High Pass or Shift+Ctrl+F. you then get a choice of a drop down Mode: and several choices: I try several from Overlay,soft light, hard light, vivid light, linear light & pin light. plus you can also change the Opacity as well in any combinations. viewing previews of image, you will see small and big changes with each different light selection. Just choose the best one to your liking.
