Aimee C. Eisaman September 08, 2008

These lakes amaze me! I have yet to visit this one, but I have been to Lake Michigan many times and it is so much like visiting the ocean.....I'm always left in awe. I also noticed how these storms can pop up at any time and I'm so glad you caught this one in the distance.....beautiful to have those dark clouds in the back with the sun still shining on the beach. Very well composed! #6428403

Debbie E. Payne September 08, 2008

Gail, I like it a lot! Before I even opened it up larger I thought you had done a 'Watercolor" treatment to it so here I am "piggy-backing" off of Sue's comment. Very nicely done. #6428404

Gail R. Schuett September 08, 2008

Joan,Aime and Debbie...this lake runs all along Lake Huron for I don't know how many miles!!
Where I live (about 6 blocks from the beach) in town..there is a stretch from one small town to another. So many different angles and wonders, always changing sky/sunsets.
I think in the "mode" that I shoot, sometimes the finish looks like a painting..thanks very much girls!! Gail #6428565

Dale Hardin September 08, 2008

A wonderful capture Gail. Full of contrasting colors and moods. Love the rain falling in the background and the "painting look" of the whole scene.

I guess by now everyone in the club knows that I have an affliction. Things that are not level draw my eye like a moth to a flame. Even though it's very slight, the horizon tilts to the right.
Sorry about that. #6430811

Marisol Pastor September 09, 2008
