Description

Resubmit of previous shot of bromiliad bloom. Flipped to look more like a sword and lens flare added to make it more "magical". Just having fun. Also border I had added has been removed.

Many thanks to you all (Alan, Cindy, Sandra, Patricia, Adilson, Kara, Karen, Sanjay and Dan) Wow! I love all this attention. This is a shot from last month, it actually hangs down not up. I had overdressed it with a border. Several people mentioned that it looked like a sword so I thought this month I would play that up. Glad you all like it. #1054092

For Patricia,
I am adding a shot of the whole bloom so you can get perspective of where the sword came from. It should show up in my gallery. #1054143

Marsha S. Smith February 18, 2005

Thank you so much Steve and Terry - you know I really have to give a lot of credit to Tom Anderson and Cindy Paquette for this image. I originally entered it a couple of months ago pointing down (as it really grows). They both mentioned that it reminded them of a sword. That led me to thinking about swords and what better sword than "Excaliber" which has always seemed a little magic to me. #1114362
