Tree of Life
Uploaded: September 07, 2008
As you enter Garden of Reflection, the 9/11 Memorial Park in Yardley, Pennsylvania, this magnificent tree is the first object that your eyes fall upon. To me, it resembles the "Tree of Life,"
--------
“Tree of Life” is a mystical concept, a metaphor prevalent in various world theologies and philosophies. Tree of Life appears in cultural folklore and fiction and often relates to immortality or fertility. In the Book of Genesis, the “Tree” has the potential to grant immortality to Adam and Eve, and in PROVERBS, it is a simile for a blessing.

Great infrared image and comp, Michelle!! I wish your vultures had gotten the "Snake" before he got to Eve-- things would be so much simpler now...plus we'd only have to work in the Garden and everyone would still be naked!I've thought about doing a photo book with some of my poems on the images. Problem is I haven't written a poem in about 30 years (except for Dad's obituary in 2003)... #6426564
