I made the photo last month in Berlin (the bird was in a cage). I cropped it and made slight changes in the overall image balance.

Thanks a lot!

I was lucky to get a sharp photo: I did not have to sharpen it. As my camera is not a DSLR and its lens is not very wide, I managed to stick it through the bars.

This is indeed a beautiful bird Tiia. I think what you have here is a very close relation to the Eastern Rosella, most probably the Yellow Rosella. According to the "The Emu" (Official Organ of The Australasian Ornithologists Union) it is found "Along the Murray River
flats and adjacent country the Yellow Rosella (P. flaveolus)occurs, and it is apparently confined to that region" We have a lot of Eastern Rosella's visit our yard and they usually always move in mating pairs and are quite timid. Loverly capture!
