Red Urns & Door

Uploaded: September 02, 2008

Description

ISO 200, f-stop 5.6, shutter 125th, WB daylight, mode AV. After a frustrating morning trying to photographs a red motor scooter, I chanced upon these red urns in a strip mall parking lot. They were beautiful, but the surroundings were not. With careful framing, I was able to cut-out distracting details, and used a large aperture to create an romantic progression of red objects. Before this class, I would never have used these settings or persevered to find the "sweet spot" of composition!

Exif: F Number: 5.6, Exposure Bias Value: 0.00, ExposureTime: 1/125 seconds, Flash: did not fire, compulsory flash mode, ISO: 200, FocalLength: 46.00 mm, Model: Canon EOS DIGITAL REBEL XSi
