Thank you Gail and thank you Dawn. You have both been kind enough not to mention that it could have been sharper. My excuse is that it was a heavily cropped portion of a much larger scene taken hand held from a couple of hundred yards away across a harbor in Cornwall and even at this comparatively small size is just about on the limit of acceptability.
I considered desaturating that blue roof line so that it didn't detract from the main subject, the laundry, but decided against it. I actually wanted folk to comment on that brilliant blue, one in house paint, the other in textile dyes as it is a color much used in Cornwall, my home birthplace. I could even say sometimes over-used as professional artists tend to incorporate it in just about any painting they make for selling to the tourist trade!
