Very pretty portrait Janet! Love the white muslin/matereial that accentuates the color & features of this childs face with the contrast of the soft light & shadows. Beautiful shot she will treasure when she is older! #1025580

Who's this angel face? You had to put her the wings instead of the white veil! She is so beautiful and your composition made a wonderful ensamble. #1025629

Janet,
Congratulations on an incredible shot. I'm still waiting to take one like this that just makes you go,"WOW". Did you use photoshop on this or was this the raw photo? Really, really nice.
Best regards,

Thanks for all the nice comments. It is one of my favorites. No photoshop other than slight adjustments in contrast. I wanted the image to say soft and lovely so that is the way I shot it. Children have such lovely skin naturally that it needed no filters from me to improve it. Hannah is just 2/12 years old with the vocabulary of an 8 year old. She told me she would like to take princess pictures and make a princess book. The head wrapping was her idea. The soft winter light from a large bank of windows supplied just enough light to light the right side of her face and wrap around to leave just the right amount of light on the left side of her face. no reflector needed. #1033350

This was my pick at bestfoto (I hope I'm right about the website?), great to see it here too. This is the most beautiful portrait..you are so fortunate to have such a lovely and willing little model, especially at her age! Big congrats on this making finals, it's much deserved! #1120038
