Good morning Vladan. thank you so much for dropping by and your generous comments.
Boscastle in the county of Cornwall in South west England was subject to a violent flash flood in 2004. The tiny village and harbour are situated in a steep sided valley and some hours of heavy rain caused a build up of water on the high ground above the village that descended on the village and swept cars out to the ocean and destroyed many buildings but fortunately with no loss of life thanks to the military helicopters that winched people to safety from their roof tops.
Boscastle has now been completely renovated and is once more busy with tourists in the summer months.
Thanks again,
Pete #6293918
