Fountain at Slow Shutter Speed

Description

This picture was taken in the early morning with overcast skies, and with the camera mounted on a tripod. I put the camera in Shutter Priority mode, set the shutter speed to 1/4, and then took a picture... when reviewing the picture, I found that it was way overexposed. Manipulating the exposure compensation setting didn't change the image, as the aperture value was already at an extreme. At that point, I put a Neutral Density filter on my lens, which helped considerably. I did end up adjusting the exposure compensation setting to +0.67 in order to lighten up the final image.

ETA: For some reason, the picture looks a little different after being uploaded to this site. The exposure for the image on my computer seems spot on, while the one here seems a tad bit overexposed [I see a big difference when looking at the orange roof on the building]. Hmmm...

Exif: F Number: 22, Exposure Bias Value: 0.67, ExposureTime: 10/40 seconds, Flash: did not fire., ISO: 200, White balance: Auto white balance, FocalLength: 36.00 mm, Model: NIKON D40
