(Finalist September 2008)

She is a daughter of a family friend here in Lexington, Ky. Her parents immigrate here in the United States. She and her siblings grew here in a culture different from their parents. I used ambient lighting coming from the window. Iso 100 F2.8 1/80 and I used a USM IS 17-55 mm f2.8 lens.

Exif: F Number: 2.8, Exposure Bias Value: -1.00, ExposureTime: 1/60 seconds, Flash: did not fire, compulsory flash mode, ISO: 100, White balance: Manual white balance, FocalLength: 23.00 mm, Model: Canon EOS DIGITAL REBEL XTi

Hello again Jeffrey. Man! Have you got lighting nailed! This is another superb image, friend.
The way that the model is seated in intrigues me. The way she is leaning away from the window, the expression on her face and the way her hands are tightly clasped all suggest a certain apprehension about what is happening outside. Your images always suggest stories to me Jeffrey and raises them above the level of merely beautifully shot ones.
