While this is a great shot, the content of the photo is incorrect. A nine ball racket needs to have the nine ball in the middle where you have the five ball. Other than that the capture and color are excellent. #6394709

Jim Britt September 01, 2008

Congrats on your POTD. Though I agree with Tammy in one respect, I do think it is cool that you have all the numbers showing and they are in numerical order : ). Maybe it point wasn't to be about 9 ball but something else..maybe no point at all lol.

Great action shot! I'm a long time pool player myself and this would be a great shot to display in a hall I think. #6395276

Frankly, I think criticisms about the rack of the balls are silly (and I'm a long-time pool player, too). The point is, it's a fantastic action shot!! WTG, Shirley! Congratulations on a most well-deserved POTD! #6395659

Hello, Everyone! What a great Labor Day surprise to open email and find all your comments on my POTD! It is my first and I'm so elated! Thank you for all your comments and thanks to the Better Photo Editors for selecting this photo for such an honor! The balls were placed purposely in numerical order and the photo was selected for movement in each ball even though just slightly in some. Although the balls are breaking away, it gives the illusion of the balls rushing to the center, IMHO. #6400066

Saw this one on photo of the day. Fantastic shot Shirley. I love the sense of action created by the movement blur. #6402885
