Mother Goose

Uploaded: July 08, 2008

Description

I took this from a canoe on the Bighorn River in Montana. There were a lot of goslings on the river at this time of year and they are not able to fly for quite some time, so when mom starts squaking and flapping her wings, the little ones paddle their little feet so fast that they are almost running on top of the water. It was touching to see that this mother goose didn't just fly off when we got near like many did and it was so funny watching the little guy paddle this heart out... after all, we meant them no harm.
