This carpenter bee is stealing the nectar from this desert willow flower by cutting a slit in the base of the flower and bypassing the pollen producing anthers; Carlsbad Caverns National Park, New Mexico; f 3.5 1/400s @ 70.00mm, macro mode; Cropped slightly in Photoshop; Feedback Greatly Appreciated!
