Description

I had to take about 30 deleted photographs to get this photo of a bird in flight. I have tried forever to take this kind of a photograph and I am pleased with the result. I like the angle that I caught the bird, and the angle of the sunlight through his wings allows some of the details of the feathers to be shown. He is also the main focus of the photograph, the background and the other bird are a little blurred which I like. I shot this about 10 am on a hazy day, no tripod, no flash, Tv mode, f7.1, ISO 400, shutter speed 1/400, focal length 180mm, automatic white balance.

Exif: F Number: 7.1, Exposure Bias Value: 0.00, ExposureTime: 1/400 seconds, Flash: did not fire, compulsory flash mode, ISO: 400, White balance: Auto white balance, FocalLength: 180.00 mm, Model: Canon EOS DIGITAL REBEL XTi
