Stabat Mater (Sorrowful Mother)

Uploaded: June 22, 2008

Description

The grieving Mother stood
beside the cross weeping
where her Son was hanging.

Through her weeping soul,
compassionate and grieving,
a sword passed.

Ten days ago, my camera and lens fell on the ground. The lens was broken. So was my heart. While I was unable to go out to shoot, I was listening to Antonio Vivaldi’s “Stabat Mater.” Then, I was struck with an inspiration.

Composite of 11 photos taken at 6 different locations.

Hi Amy and HuHu! Good to hear from you! Thank you for your kind words!!

HuHu, this was mainly done by lots of cloning. There is nothing hightech about that. It took me days to finish. I did some color adjustment but no black card :) #6115528
