Description

"When I was seventeen it was a very good year.It was a very good year for small town girls and soft summer nights.
We'd hide from the light on the village green, when I was seventeen.......................

Now the days are short. I'm in the autumn of my year. And now I think of my life as vintage wine, from fine old kegs from the brim to the dregs, it poured sweet and clear. It was a very good year.
(Inspired by Frank Sinatra's recording)

I would greatly appreciate your CC on this version compared with my B&W one. #921098

And I thought this was a pretty good self-portrait but zero response! Makes me wish I was a pregnant lady as everyone "oohs" and "aahs" at all those bare plump bellies. #6234502

Good job!! Peter.the only fault I can find is the green reflections in your glasses. Other than that as I said "Good job"

Hi Willard, it's a bit pathetic when one pleads for a response isn't it but thank you for indulging me! I shot this image with the very minimum of preparation sat at our dining room table looking out onto our very green, plant-filled yard. A couple of months later my glasses would have been crimson as the hibiscus are in full bloom.lol
Thanks again friend.

hmmmm - finding this a bit after the fact. I like it. i'm the oddball. I find the green in the glasses a great metaphor - but you'll have to figure out for what. the answer's right here, though.

do hope you are well,
best,

Well Arlene. You do have me gueessing! I know you are a nice person, so you wouldn't be suggesting that at my age I am getting a little mouldy around the edges like over-ripe cheese, would you!
