Description

May the Warmth of the holiday season be with you throughout the year! Designed this for my Christmas card this year:-) 11/12/04, 4:23 p.m., f/5.6, 1/25, ISO 200, tripod, natural window light. Taken on top of a microwave w/large white freezer on right. Blocked direct window light to darken the scene a bit with reflector (gold side facing subject). Then the extra window light bounced off freezer onto subject. Hope that makes sense!

Thanks so much for your terrific comments, Paul, Joy, Leanne, Colleen, Kathleen, Stephen, Allan, Rob, Lorri, Carolyn, Wally, Patricia, Sherri, Claudia, Cindy, Darren, and Marie! I really appreciate them:-)
Leanne, categorizing this was one of the hardest parts of the shot! This is what I mean when I say a still life category would come in handy. Even though any photo will have elements of design- light, line, color, pettern, etc., this type doesn't display that strongly enough for that category. BUT, it's not your classic detail and macro either. So, for lack of anything better, I classified it as a detail and macro since they are small objects that I photographed at a close range. I am hoping that if it is worthy enough for a second look by the judges, then it will stand out enough in its category to be considered. But this is the kind of still life I just have so much trouble classifying! #907417

This should bring a lot of cheer to it's recipients Jan :0) A very toasty sentiment unless you're a marshmellow.
