Gymnast in Action

Description

I put this together from 5 different pictures. It took me two sessions and about 120 pictures to get it right, but now I know what I'm doing. This is my friend's daughter and now all the girls at the gym want me to do their picture like this. The lighting is not great in the gym so I set the camera at ISO 800. This is the best I can do.

Dear Liz,

You said you set your camera at ISO 800 but what was the ISO of your film? Excellent composition! Thierry #38460

Thanks, Cathy and Thierry. I took these pictures with a digital camera, so no film. I set the camera at 800 ISO. Usually I use auto ISO which gives me 100 or 200, but in the gym those settings give me a lot of noise.

Thanks, Debi. Also, I realized that I got that wrong about the noise. I get more noise with the ISO 800 setting but I can't stop the action with the lower ISO setting. Her foot is already blurred with the 800 setting. I knew there was a reason to use ISO 800. #38830
