Description


This is another section of the garden I posted yesterday, but on the other side of the house. The path leads from the sidewalk to a gate which opens to a private yard in back where, I'm told, there is yet another garden with trellises and ornamental pools. Haven't seen that part.

The cat has, because he lives there!

I took this in the deep shade. Various effects applied.

Thanks, Paul! The house is a large Victorian and is on the yearly Walking Tour of Gardens in Savanna. The owner lives there alone from what I know, and does all the gardening himself. In spring and fall, it does have a wild, English-garden look about it. Not commercial landscape, by any means! It is old and well established: many peonies, roses, hostas and azaleas - lots of asters and dahlias in the fall. I hope to show the rest!
