Description

Seeing the fins on the bottom of the surfboard usually means some kind of acrobatic move, or the surfboard is floating upside down after an unsuccessful acrobatic move.

Some serious air here. Is that board a thruster? I think I see a third fin. Super shot! #5789057

Colleen Farrell April 14, 2008

Wow, I didn't even know some surfboards have fins (er, do they all have them? lol) Amazing capture, David--the detail is awesome! #5789103

Yes, Robert, that is indeed a thruster. I was shooting surfing 3 years before I learned that term. Colleen, surfboards can have no fins up to 5 fins these days, but the three fin thruster is very common for shortboards like this one. Thank you both for dropping by.
