Description

I was out photoraphing the fall colors when I noticed the naked trees mirrored in the water at the rivers edge. I was struck by the imagination that the trees were looking at themselves reflected in the water. It seemed that they were remembering the once vibrant leaves which used to grace their branches, but are now rotting beneath the ebb and flow of the river. It reminded me of the often used metaphor of Autumn (getting old) and the impending Winter (dying). So, I clicked the shutter and took

Thanks for the comment! This is not a composite image, though. It's been rotated 180 degrees, but other than that, it's exactly as I took it. #874404

Hi Karen,

I especially like this photo your subject is good, colors are greatly rendered, and trees's trunk have a lot of visible details (not allways the case on such shots).
