For this final assignment on a theme, I picked B&W imagery. This winter, as I tried to capture more images from winter, I found myself playing more and more with B&W images. I find the stark contrast, and monotone feel, lends itself toward my emotional feel of the winter scenery.

So I've picked a few images shot over the last few months to reflect that mood I was trying to capture.

This first horizontal is from an ice stream that I really enjoyed capturing some ideas from in January. Even though it is a stark, monotone feel, there is an intimacy and 'warmth' to the flow in this image.

The texture of the flowing water over the ice gives a 'warmth' to the image even though we know it is cold.
