You're back!! Was it wonderful? This image is really great; I can't wait to see the rest of your images! #23839

Patricia Marroquin May 26, 2019

Thank you Stephanie and Janelle. Yes, just got back at 4 this morning after a red-eye flight. We loved the wraparound balcony we had. We could see the ocean from one side and the mountains from the other. It was a whirlwind trip, though. Didn't get to do everything or photograph everything I wanted to. But I'll take 5 days in Hawaii any time. :-) #23846

Thanks so much Cathy. Our first morning there, it was such a pleasant surprise to walk out onto the balcony and have this view. However, I had to shoot through some wrought iron bars, and I was nervous getting close to the edge to get the shots! :-) #23879

Thank you all. You don't know how much your support and encouragement mean to me. Sorry for the belated thank yous, but I was up very late last night doing Christmas cards, and probably was one of the first to see the November results. (I was stunned, to say the least.) So I just now woke up to these kind comments. #32241

Thank you Cathy G., Cathy M., Robert and Janelle. I'm just glad I didn't try this shot after having a couple of Mai Tais. This balcony was extremely narrow and the height made me nervous. Thank goodness the photo came out straight. Oh, and my husband wants partial credit for this win. He was the one who woke me up the first morning and told me to grab my cameras and get out onto the balcony ASAP. Thanks, George. :-) #32454

Patricia Marroquin May 26, 2019

Thank you, Thomas. I do have to credit my husband for spotting this scene first -- while I slept. LOL! But I was the one who ran out onto a very narrow balcony and stuck my lens through the railing bars in awkward and scary positions to snap a lot of shots here. Ha! #119713
