Found this Columbines up at 11,000 feet near Lake Isabelle in the Indian Peaks Wilderness summer 2001. Taken with a Sony MVC FD-95.

Ah Yes, A very long hike in inself. This is one to appreciate, not too many people get to view the beauty of the high country unless they get it from their local library. Daryle #1731

I DO like flowers and mountains, and this photo especially. I'm particularly impressed with the depth of field in some of your photos--I guess you had a lot of light and were able to use a small aperture? At any rate, nice work. #6127

Thanks Ted. The fstop was 4.8 and the shutter speed 1/500. I was using shutter priority and that's what the camera used for the fstop. And yes, it was very sunny to the left and a bit behind me, also used a circular polarizer. Can't wait until I can hike here again late spring and use my new Sony DSC F707 where I will have more control of my camera and of course more megapixels. :-) #6128
