Super image Greg! Love the pano crop, action of the falls and the BIG DOF to keep the delicate flowers in the foreground sharp!! Well done. #791226

Thanks everyone!
This was a fun picture to take: tripod standing in thick ground cover and hanging on the edge of the cliff. Kept the camera strap in my hand! Used remote to fire the camera once it was set up, then gently rotated for panorama (for larger resolution compared to crop).
Letchworth State Park in Western NY, the Grand Canyon of the East (though it's more like Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone), is a waterfall lover's paradise (and not as crowded as Niagara). #796588

Very nice panorama stich Gregory. I especially like the blurred water cascading over the falls. Did the polarizer keep the image from becoming over-exposed with the slow shutter speed necessary to blur the water?
Cool picture; hope to see more. #796596

Hi Kip,
The polarizer helped do several things. First, it knocked down the exposure about 2 stops, allowing longer exposures for more smokey water (this was also aided by using a small aperture and my camera's built-in neutral density filter). Second, it reduced the sharp reflections off the flat water on top of the falls. Third, it enhanced the greens by knocking out the reflections from the leaves (try this, it's great!). #797813
