Ouch! This guy looks fairly menacing. Can you shed some light on your technique here? Did you use a lightbox or just white card and an overexposure for the background? Nice job! #12123

Actually, this caterpillar was crawling on a white wall. There were hundreds of them on the wall where I work. They were also in the bushes. I didn't do anything special. I did use flash, the orginal came out with a light grey wall with droppings in places from the caterpillars. I lightened the wall back to original white color in PS using levels, and cloned out the droppings. Other than that, nothing special. I chose the wall, since the ones in the bushes were all under leaves, and it was raining at the time and very dark outside.
