Fabulous. Not a big fan of lightning but love the way you capture it. A couple years ago we had a local teenager get hit by lightning, in the winter no less. He survived but there are still a lot of things that he can't do. Your images convey they power of lightning very well! #788621

Robert,
WOW!!!!! Pretty scary weather. Those rain swalls look like they are thinking about becoming twisters:(
Since I have a ranch with horses I hate to see that a coming. Nothing is more frighten than trying to bring in horses in that kind of weather. Nothing like leading horses by their maines while the hail bouunces off them and you.
Anyway and awesome shot...it hits me with it beauty and at the pit of my stomach all at the same time. POWERFULL!
You get my vote for 1st place hands down! Zita #884575

Tony Wilder February 05, 2008

even at f100- I still cant believe this turned out. F5.6 to boot. I woul dshoot it at f19 or f22 at iso 50 and even then I am not sure the bolt would show up so well, but I KNOW the lit background would still be blown out. Specially at 10 seconds. Very impressive. Daytime and twilight lightnign is so hard, well done here and congrats! #5445768
