Stalking the Silver Salmon

Description

These fishermen were circling a large school of silver salmon as they waited for the 8:00AM opening time. The trick is to be positioned to make the largest set possible in the first few minutes without getting tangled up in the other seines. There is often some very serious confrontations during this type of event.

What an idyllic setting......not!!! With the birds, the mountains, and the lighting, I can see why the judges picked this one, Gary, but your comments and the second photo are even more interesting. Just like two companies competing for market share! #1317123

Thanks, Patrick. Its essentially the same thing except this tends to get a little more personal. In fact, I did a little digging and found out that the two boat owners involved in this event were best friends (at least when they started the season). As a result, the victim in this scenario decided not to press charges but I understand the friendship is not what it used to be. #1317228
