Hi Karen,

Nice idea for a frame. Good use of thirds posing your model, and interesting pose with his arm raised and resting on the column. Your colorful foreground object adds depth and interest; it draws our eye in to Shiva and back again because its color is echoed by Shiva’s rose. Good job.

Unfortunately, the white sky is distracting, especially between your model’s head and his arm, and the pole rising right behind his head isn’t good.

The arches behind your model are frames too. Is there a position where the arch in the background also frames his head instead of converging on it? To avoid the white sky try even later in the day when the brightness of the sky more closely matches the brightness inside the gazebo (maybe 30 minutes later, once the sun has set, although it might be too dark then to get a good exposure of his face—you’d have to try and see what works). Even the cross hatching is better than full white. #797212
