Nice shot Carol....it is great in Black & White! I wish I had a "guard" in my backyard!

Thanks Lorraine. She certainly seemed to be on the lookout for something. She stayed like that for quite a while. This was actually in color, but I thought it was more effective in B&W. #18724

Hi Carol. Another Great Shoot I see. I love B/White, when your cat finished Guarding your back yard I could do with Her / Him .. to guard my Kio. Fish,,
Anyway love the photo, Martin #18737

BW is surely effective here. I'd (for my taste) raise the contrast a tiny bit in PS. But you know, tastes are different, would be boring on this planet otherwise.

For a minute I thought it was standing in the tree..then I saw the fence. Quite a little old guard! #18774

Thanks Martin, birdie, and Carolyn! Martin--I don't think she would be a very reliable guard for your fish. She probably wouldn't let anyone else have them though.
birdie--I'll have another look at the contrast. Seemed like it was getting a little burned out any higher, but I may have put it down more than I needed too.
Carolyn--actually she is standing quite high in the tree--about 15 feet up. No fence there--only branches. #18777

Wow! I couldn't see the branch she is standing on, so figured it must be the fence she was on. She is brave!! #18778

Black and white was a perfect choice for this shot Carol. It really makes the cat stand out! I'll remember to keep my squirrel away from your place! #19186

Carol Engstrom level-classic May 26, 2019

Yes you better keep the squirrel away--although I was amazed to see one come up to the back door a few days ago. The cats must have all been taking a siesta. Mice, squirrels, gophers, lizards, and even careless birds have a short lifespan at out house. #19236

Awesome shot Carol! You've captured her "focused" look perfectly - it's great in b&w!
