Nice shoot, Karen. This is one of my favorite lighthouses and this is one of the best shots I've seen. May I ask what lens you used and what time of day it was? Thanks for sharing.

Oh, Karen, this is a beauty! When you answer Murry, say where it is also.. #18571

Thank you both for the kind comments! Murry, I didn't have a any special lens on my camera...Just a UV filter and a tri-pod. I use a canon powershot G1. The sepia tone I did in PS. The time of day was just at twilight...around 6:30. And Carolyn, this lighthouse is in Maine. It's my favorite place to go...the rocks around the lighthouse are incredible and the ocean is at it's majestic best there. :-) #18580

Carolyn this is the Pemaquid Point Light and is located on the west side of the entrance to Muscongus Bay in New Harbor, Maine. You can drive right to it and there is a museum in the house. May I recommend a little book called "Lighthouses of Maine" published by Maine Scene Inc., PO Box 173, Union ME 04862. The photos are wonderful and it gives a brief description of 60 Maine lighthouses.
