Inverpolly Dawn

Description

Pentax 67II, 55-100 zoom, polarizer, 0.45ND grad, F16 at 8 seconds. This lochan, north Ullapool road at the gateway to the Inver Polly reserve is like a magnet. The water surface is often choppy and broken. If you get there at first light before the sunrise instigates minor atmospheric disturbances, then a near perfect reflection of the Inver Polly mountains, including the pointy volcanic peak of Stac Pollaidh, become mirrored in it's surface.

WOW, Ian you have some amazing images and your life story really touched me. I, as well grew up, and still (unfortunately) live in the city and can't wait to get out. I am counting my days... more like months until I get transferred to work in Colorado!!!
Anyway, thanks for inspiration!
