How cute! I love her expression! I couldn't tell what she was doing at first because there isn't enough contrast between the dog and the background, but other than that, it's a precious photo! #160425

Thanks for your comments, Not sure how to tackle the problem of the contrast issue, I tried a little bit of play with it, and took the shot in color as well, but black dog, pretty white child,,and it's really difficult to balance the light any suggestions? Would a reflector help with this type of thing?
The dog is my 5 year old lab the child, my 2 year old grandaughter, she often poses offers up some great poses with our dogs but the are all three,, JUST as black .. as night.. so it's really hard to get good shots. would love to hear your comments. also posting two of the same shot, one in color and one adjusted contrast.
PS I posted this once and it did not show up so if this shows up double my apologies. #725239

Lisa, the second one is just so cute too!! It's clear that she adores that dog! I like the composition of the first one better though. Do you know how to work with Photoshop? I think with just a little cloning, you could make the dog stand out more. As for suggestions, I would love to see these two bathed in window light! It would bring out just the right amount of sheen in the dog's coat, but some of his details would show up too. :)

I'm not a pro by any means, so I hope this helps! #726105
