Brenda, Thanks for asking. She was just coming up splashing (and mostly making faces at me) from going off the high dive. The sun was behind and a little to the right of me as I shot this and still pretty strong. My settings were 80-400mm lens at 400mm, ISO 200, f5.6 at 1/640, so easily stop action speed. I wanted to lighten the shadow on her face, so I adjusted the shadow slider on the shadow/highlight adjustment in PS CS slightly. Otherwise, I just did minor adjustments to levels, usm, and brightness/contrast. When I did lighten the shadow, it did lighten the splash up as well. The effect seemed to be mostly from the high shutter speed to catch the splash, the strong light on the water combined with the shadow adjustment. I hope this is the info you were looking for.
