Moonlighting Waves

Description

"Close Up Detail" Example
This is an image of a white lily. I wanted the have the image look like an ocean wave being light by a bright full moon. I used an AlienBee 1600 strobe with a blue gel filter in front of the strobe. I used a long exposure to let the modeling lamp of the strobe provide richer saturation of color and create background color and detail on the leaves of the lily. The strobe was place so that the underside of the lily was backlight and gave the flower some glow.
