Description

Just having a little fun in the digital darkroom tonight. Was in the mood to do something Halloween-ey.
(Tested the waters with some "Silly Saturation.")
Funny, this image reminds me of one of those funky posters, seen under a black light!

This image started out as a beautiful Victorian-style home I spotted in San Francisco.
The birds were from another photograph taken at the base of the Golden Gate Bridge.

I LOVE this one !!!!!!!!!! I HOPE BP has a Halloween photo contest after Halloween...maybe a spooky monthly theme or something. If they do you should definately enter this. Oh what fun, what's a black light poster? Cool prehistoric birds ( Pterodactyls ), an amazing thing, San Fransisco is an interesting place at night. great compilation, very fun. Just kidding about the black light, dates us all.

I took lots of pictures of beautiful homes in San Francisco when I vacationed there in August. Was a lot of fun post processing this, with a great, colorfully-detailed house as my base. When adjusting the hue/saturation, those original colors just went wild! Lots of details popped out.
I hope you go back and shoot that house, Cassie. I'd love to see what you come up with!

Stunning, Lisa! This takes me back to San Francisco in more ways than one -- ! (You did mention Black light posters. LOL)! I love the colors and it's almost like I recognize the house. We have Victorians in Illinois but they are never "Painted Ladies" like they are, back there. Usually white - or brick - maybe pastel yellows. Love this image! #4988868

I'm really glad that you like this image, Nadya! I found this house in the (really cool) Haight-Ashbury district of SF, a couple of doors down from the home of The Grateful Dead.
I loved the diversity of architecture and cultures in SF, and how they all seemed to blend together in harmony!
