Really the best ever image of the Bean!!! #1193163

Hi Ellen,
Thanks for the note, and I'm glad you like it! This photo was the last in a series in which I tried different focal lengths, beginning further back with a telephoto and then moving physically close with my wide-angle. The wide-angle perspective - combined with the lights and colors of twilight, and the outstanding clouds - was just what I was looking for. Chicago's reflective Cloud Gate sculpture (known as the Bean) is just so special. If I lived nearby (I'm in California), I'd visit frequently to check out all the amazing possibilities.
Thanks again, Ellen! #8045503

Great image! Saw a magazine article with pictures of the bean. Didn't like any as much as this. #8274217

This is on my "Shoot it Someday" List (close enough, but Chicago hotels are killer prices!)

I'm a huge fan of all Bean pix, but I think yours is one of the few that presents the top curvature, rather than the lower portions. The twilight colors and reflections makes this one very unique. It's a beaut! #8274269
