Description

I made the photo last summer from a plane. I softened the picture a bit and made slight changes in brightness, contrast and gamma of the overall picture, but not separate sections or colors.

I made the other sunset photo in my portfolio also on the same flight... it was a nice compensation for being delayed for 5 days due to a 1-day strike in Barcelona Airport and Estonian Air's inability to get me on an earlier flight.

In the case of this photo, I did not have to work a lot: the "Mother Nature" had already prepared the composition, the light and colors, I just had to press the button.

I made many pictures from that plane and this was one of the few that had no window-glass reflections etc. Unfortunately it is very cold that high... -68 by Celsius.

It's very beautiful up there, but the problem is that you'll have to make your photo through the window... so you'll have to deal with unwanted reflections, ice, fog or dirt (sometimes outside, not inside so you cannot clean it) on plane widows. So, it's best to make many photos and hope that at least some will come out fine.
