Thanks, Dominick, Paul and Anna for your comments.
While I was admiring how the sun was illuminating and reflecting off this web - and contemplating the effect I was going to attempt to portray - this tiny arachnid popped into view (hiding) on the underside of its web. So my attention was instantly re-focused to include the architect.
Cobweb spiders build irregular web structures and attract large quantities of morning dew so their web designs are usually quite photogenic.

What a great shot - both the web and spider. Spiderwebs with dew drops are also one of my favorite subjects. #4887628
