Description

This is Liberty, a magnificent, 14-pound, Bald Eagle.
Founders of the Institute for Environmental Learning, Paul and Anne Schnell, along with this beautiful raptor, educate the community about environmental conservation. Paul rehabilitated Liberty back to health after he suffered a broken wing almost 20 years ago. I was fortunate enough to meet Paul, Anne, and Liberty at The Wildlife Festival in Lewiston, NY.

Wow!
Raptors are a favorite subject of mine and, as such, I love this series you've posted. The photos are great, you've captured some excellent expressions of your national symbol.
Near my house there's a small zoo and they also have a bald eagle, a juvenile.
We'll need to wait about four years to appreciate its marvelous white head.
In the meantime, I'll be happy enough to watch this one. :) #4854358

Incredible shot Lisa. You must have been pretty close to the eagle if you were at 200mm. I just tried shooting eagles last weekend with my 70-200mm f/2.8 with a 1.4x extender and could not get close enough for a good shot.
