I use a Minolta Dimage Scan Dual III to scan my slides. It scans up to 2820 dpi and has an automatic dust remover. It will scan at 8 bit (makes approx 28mb file) or 16 bit (makes approx 55mb file). The scans are approx 3840 pixels x 2544 pixels at largest scan.
