Hi Janelle,
This was taken about 4 years ago. We got daring and went from Kapalua up (north) and around the island that way. At a certain point, there are no paved roads for quite a while and the dirt road (not this one) is very winding and narrow (sort of like the "Road to Hana"). As you know, the rental car companies tell you not to drive on the rugged, unpaved roads, but we disobeyed. :-) I think we spied this scene while we were still on a paved road. We had stopped for a rest and to take in the scene and photograph it. This photo looked better before I scanned it in, but at least the red and blue remained vivid. Thanks for your comment! #16100

Oh, Damian, as I said before, you are so funny. ... I wasn't getting any e-mail on all the photo discussions I was a part of today. I messaged Jim about it, and he said he'd try to figure it out when he had time. But I ended up figuring it out, then put it to a test here. It worked! #45437
