Walking by this modest porch in Auburn California, I couldn't help but wonder if his slippers were still warm?

Hi Ronda! I came to visit your gallery today. And this one struck me as so homey. Then I read were you took it and it is home!! My home town at least grew up and went to school there. Is this porch one of the houses near Old town or up by the high school? It just seems that would have been the area you were in. My mom owns the building where Gypsy Wind beads are located in Old Town. They owned the business but sold it a few mo. ago. but they still own that building so they get rent from the two stores there. congrats on the efp!! #4812197ronda chatelle September 20, 2007
Thank you everyone for your kind inspiration and comments! Brenda...Yes, this is near Old Town! Probably fairly close to your Mom's building! I took photos all up and down the street! Wow...you must of loved growing up in this adorable, quaint little town!!! #4817754Brenda c. McFarland September 20, 2007
I did enjoy it! I practically grew up down in old town during the summer months. We would hang out in or outside my moms store sometimes looking for bottles and cans we could redeem for the cash back at the little grocery store to get a pice of candy or a small pack of gum. OH Those were the days...a simplier life.... #4817949Sign up for an interactive online photography course to get critiques on your photos.
