For the Fallen
Uploaded: July 15, 2004
This is a composite of two images I shot. Both were shot in color, but I desaturated my son. He is wearing his daddy's sailor hat and holding his dog-tags. The background of the little sailor was taken out, and then placed on the flag. A spotlight effect was added for more punch.

Thank you, James :o) I set out to get a cute shot of my son with his daddy's stuff and ended up with a shot of him looking down at the dog-tags like that. I knew it could make a powerful image if it almost made me cry looking at it...LOL Thanks again :o) #650347Bonnie C. Lackey July 16, 2004
Made me tear up...your son will have this image to guide him as he grows up. Bless you all...and may your husband stay safe and sound. #650468Gail Vitikacs July 16, 2004
Very powerful....make sure you have several copies for your son when he gets older...he will cherish these as much as your husband will..... #651282Cheryl A. Tessens July 16, 2004

Wonderfully emotional and touching image. #673887Lori L. Thomas April 26, 2005
Great job. Very moving. It made me wonder what this little guy's story was with his dad (before I read the comments). #1293217Sign up for an interactive online photography course to get critiques on your photos.
