Thank you D!!! Bumbershoot is a festival that celebrates the local music and performing arts scene. It has been held at the Seattle Center every year since I was a young girl (1971). I believe the word bumbershoot is a British term but I'm not sure. It is an appropriate term for the event due to the fact that Seattle is known for it's extensive rainfall. #4964513
