Exciting Night Out

Description

August 2007 Nature and Landscapes
Fellow BPer Chris Budny and I had a lot of fun under umbrellas capturing the lightening show what was going on at the mall last night. It was a fun and such an exciting night. We were thrilled at what we were getting. We shouted with glee every time we got a strike. Check out Chris's lightening at the WW II Memorial. It's awesome! https://www.betterphoto.com/gallery/gallery.php?memberID=136794 This was taken from Arlington Memorial Bridge. I love how the lightening framed the Lincoln Memorial. Aperture f/22 at 4 seconds.

Exif: F Number: 22, Exposure Bias Value: +0, Exposure Time: 30/10, Flash: flash did not fire, White Balance: manual white balance, Focal Length: 20mm, Camera Model: NIKON D80

member since: 10/3/2005 Your lightning bolt capture is so cool! I love that you can see the "starting point" in the sky! And the car streaks, and star-points on the street lights; a very eye-catching image! (I'm jealous of those star-points; my lens only does 6-sided stars!)

Yes, I ended up with a couple of these in the same location--one actually is right behind the memorial. But I really liked how the lightening is framing the memorials. Thanks, Nikki for commenting! :) #4734198
