Attractive, glamorous and nicely done photo! Portrait?
As far as your efforts are concerned, they are excellent!
But I'm slightly surprised at the judges' evaluation.
A competition is a competition and photos, paid/ unpaid, have to be seen in that context and in a comparative situation! From this point of view one is looking for better texture of the skin, expressions (in this case the language of the eyes) and dynamic rather than flat outlook! The photo gives little idea about the character of the model.
In the last few years this type of half hidden close ups, with an oriental touch, have been tried in hundreds!
I think that we try to be too nice to each other in our comments and this gives wrong messages to petty judges.

Husain - I agree the judges' should be selective in their evaluations... however, we all need to remember that beauty is in the eye of the beholder and that judges are not robots, but people who are ruled by their emotions just as we are. ;) #5574397
